通過用MAC法和SIMPLE法求解Navier-Stokes方程(連續(xù)方程和動(dòng)量方程),溫度傳輸方程,考慮溫度和濃度相互作用的質(zhì)量組分方程及狀態(tài)方程或它們的擾動(dòng)方程組,研究混合流體熱對(duì)流運(yùn)動(dòng)特性, 時(shí)空結(jié)構(gòu),穩(wěn)定性及非線性動(dòng)力學(xué)行為。給出了具有Soret效應(yīng)的混合流體Rayleigh- Benard行波對(duì)流的分叉曲線圖. 發(fā)現(xiàn)了具有缺陷的局部行波對(duì)流斑圖,具有缺陷的行波對(duì)流斑圖,缺陷源水平運(yùn)動(dòng)的對(duì)傳波對(duì)流斑圖, 缺陷源固定的對(duì)傳波對(duì)流斑圖,擺動(dòng)行波對(duì)流斑圖等行波對(duì)流新斑圖及對(duì)流斑圖選擇的多重穩(wěn)定性(Multistability)現(xiàn)象和斑圖轉(zhuǎn)化過程的滯后(Hysteresis)現(xiàn)象,揭示了這些新對(duì)流斑圖與現(xiàn)象的形成機(jī)理。給出了具有Soret效應(yīng)的混合流體Poiseuille-Rayleigh-Benard流動(dòng)的分叉曲線圖, 揭示了周期局部行波對(duì)流,局部行波對(duì)流等新斑圖. 共出版英文專著兩本。在“Progress of Theoretical Physics”, “Journal of Hydrodynamics”, “中國(guó)科學(xué)”, “物理學(xué)報(bào)”, “水利學(xué)報(bào)”,“水動(dòng)力學(xué)研究與進(jìn)展”,“應(yīng)用力學(xué)學(xué)報(bào)”等發(fā)表中,英,日論文60篇。其研究成果被國(guó)際知名專家M.Lucke, E. Knobloch 等在美國(guó)“Physical Review Letters”, “Physical Review E”, “Physics of Fluids”, 歐洲“The European Physical Journal E”, 荷蘭“Physica D”,日本“Progress of Theoretical Physics”, 英國(guó)“Journal of Physics”等引用。 這項(xiàng)研究是水庫(kù)、湖泊的溫度對(duì)流,湖泊、海洋的溫鹽對(duì)流問題的基礎(chǔ)研究。
(2)工程水力學(xué)理論及其應(yīng)用
對(duì)窄縫挑坎水流特性進(jìn)行了系統(tǒng)的實(shí)驗(yàn)研究, 提出了一套窄縫挑坎水力設(shè)計(jì)計(jì)算方法。在挑距計(jì)算和沖刷方面的研究成果鑒定為國(guó)內(nèi)領(lǐng)先,建議的窄縫挑坎動(dòng)水壓力計(jì)算公式被應(yīng)用于寬尾墩壓力計(jì)算,并被石砭浴泄洪洞采用應(yīng)用于實(shí)際工程。部分成果被收入“水力計(jì)算手冊(cè)”(水電版,李煒),“現(xiàn)代壩工消能防沖原理”(科學(xué)版,劉沛清),“水力學(xué)”(陜西科技版,李建中)及“泄水建筑物體形設(shè)計(jì)” (陜西科技版,田嘉寧)。首次開展了急流彎道上摻氣減蝕技術(shù)研究, 對(duì)反拱水墊塘工作機(jī)理與水墊塘底板破壞機(jī)理進(jìn)行了專題研究。提出了急流沖擊波計(jì)算的顯式解析解,改變了長(zhǎng)期以來利用圖表曲線計(jì)算的方法。建議了泄水建筑物反弧半徑臨界標(biāo)準(zhǔn)與選擇方法及潰壩水流的Ritter解。對(duì)其它泄洪消能技術(shù),泄水工程水流數(shù)值模擬,彎道河床變動(dòng),水庫(kù)庫(kù)區(qū)泥沙,雨水資源化等方面也進(jìn)行了研究。 完成多項(xiàng)工程水力模型試驗(yàn)。出版專(合)著“高速水力學(xué)”、講義“泄水建筑物體形設(shè)計(jì)”,其中“高速水力學(xué)”為國(guó)內(nèi)研究高速水流的首部專著,被四川大學(xué)國(guó)家高速水力學(xué)實(shí)驗(yàn)室、武漢大學(xué)、天津大學(xué)、中國(guó)水科院、廣西大學(xué)、西安理工大學(xué)作為研究生教材或考研指定教材。 1992年預(yù)言的“將寬尾墩,壩頂分流齒坎或大型分流墩與臺(tái)階式溢洪道相結(jié)合解決摻氣消能問題”已部分成現(xiàn)實(shí)(高速水力學(xué),西北工大版)。“水力發(fā)電學(xué)報(bào)”等發(fā)表論文34篇。發(fā)表的成果被“Science in China E”, “中國(guó)科學(xué) E”等廣泛引用。
(3)水流邊界層理論及其應(yīng)用
對(duì)陡坡、反弧及圓管進(jìn)口段的邊界層進(jìn)行了較系統(tǒng)研究,提出了反弧段壓力分布及流速分布變化規(guī)律,在此基礎(chǔ)上首次建議了有限水深粗造陡坡與反弧段的邊界層動(dòng)量程分方程組,很好地預(yù)報(bào)了水流摻氣發(fā)生點(diǎn)的位置及陡坡與反弧上邊界層的發(fā)展。首次提出了反弧上邊界層兩種發(fā)展模式的判別標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。對(duì)反弧末邊界層發(fā)展和空蝕機(jī)理進(jìn)行了探討。提出了光滑與粗糙圓管進(jìn)口段邊界層發(fā)展的計(jì)算式,對(duì)流速分布的指數(shù)律進(jìn)行了細(xì)致研究,匯總部分研究成果出版了專(合)著“水流邊界層理論”,是國(guó)內(nèi)系統(tǒng)研究水流邊界層理論的著作!癑ournal of Hydrodynamics”, “水利學(xué)報(bào)”,“水動(dòng)力學(xué)研究與進(jìn)展”等發(fā)表論文22篇。
